Fall in love with the Hopkins County Fall Festival
September 18th - 21st, 2013
The 44th Hopkins County Fall Festival kicks off Saturday, September 14th at 9:00 am with a hometown Parade through downtown Sulphur Springs.
Each year the Board of Directors nominates someone in our community to head our parade. This year we are pleased to announce that the Grand Marshalls of the 44th Hopkins County Fall Festival will be the staff of the Hopkins County Civic Center. Putting on the Fall Festival would be near impossible if not for the knowledge and dedication of Pansy Bell, Mark Daughtery, Jerry Dalton, Charlie Williams, Jessica Nelson, Crystal Grier, Loretta Caldwell and Penny Edwards. to prepare the entire Civic Center for our four day festival. Their knowledge and dedication are what we depend on to ensure that our festival is a success, and we greatly appreciate each one of them.
This year we are proud to introduce "Pot Fest". A cooking competition sure to please. Cook teams will put their culinary skills to work when they "cook a pot and cook a lot". Gumbo, chili, chowder, soup, stew, are just some of the possible dishes you can sample when you purchase a refillable bowl until the pots run out. Teams will be setting up as early as Friday, September 20th, with judging on Saturday, September 21st at 12:00 noon. To sample some delicious food, buy a bowl for just $5.00.
We fill four days with all kinds of fun and entertainment. Arts & Crafts, Petting Zoo, Praise Fest, 42 Tournament, Commercial Exhibits, Junior Bull Riding, Mutton Bustin, and more . Please check out our schedule at http://www.hopkinscountyfallfestival.com/ to get more information.
See ya there!
