Commissioner Wisenbaker presented drawings of the proposed outlay of the new intermodal facility.  City Manager Marc Maxwell presented drawings indicating that the proposed facility would fit on the property that the county already owns which eliminates the need for an additional two (2) acres.  There was a lengthy, general discussion regarding this issue but no action was taken.

DISCUSSION/ACTION OF HOPKINS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS’ COURT’S CONTRIBUTION TO THE SULPHUR SPRINGS MUNICIPAL LIBRARY

City Manager Marc Maxwell stated that the funding to support the Municipal Library by Hopkins County is inadequate.  Budgeted costs exceed $300,000 and Hopkins County contributes $22,500 on an annual basis.  Approximately forty-four percent of the users of the library live in the county.  City Manager Marc Maxwell requested that Hopkins County contribute more funding and budget accordingly in the future.  There was a general discussion regarding this issue but no action was taken.
