CITY OF SULPHUR SPRINGS PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION REGULAR MEETING MINUTES MARCH 21, 2005

CALL REGULAR MEETING TO ORDER: Planning and Zoning Chairman Brian Baier called the regular meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission to order at 7:03 P.M..
DISCUSSION/ACTION MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING HELD 2/21/05: A motion was made by Pamela Clayton and seconded by Gary Spraggins to approve the Planning and Zoning Meeting Minutes of February 21, 2005. Motion carried, all voting aye.
DISCUSSION/ACTION ZBA CASE NO. 050302: A request by Owner/Troy Covington for a Special Use Permit for property located at 735 College Street, being further described as Lot 14, Block 56-2 to use the existing structure as a Rooming House. Gary Spraggins made a motion to deny the request, seconded by Bryan Baier, discussions were held and motion failed. After further discussions a motion was made by Bryan Baier and seconded by Pamela Clayton to recommend approval to the Zoning Board of Adjustments with the following recommendations:
1. Rental Agreement be no less than one month. 2. Review after 5 years operation. 3. On-Site Manager.
Motion carried, all voting aye.
DISCUSSION/ACTION –SCHEDULING OF WORKSHOP SESSIONS FOR REVITALIZATION OF DOWNTOWN: After discussion it was the consensus of the Commission to meet in a Work Session at 6:00 P.M. on regularly scheduled Planning and Zoning Meeting nights for Revitalization of Downtown with the regular meeting following at 7:00 P.M.
ANY OTHER BUSINESS: No other business.
ADJOURN: A motion was made by Craig Roberts and seconded by Pamela Clayton, to adjourn the meeting of March 21, 2005 at 8:25 P.M.. Motion carried, all voting aye.
