REGULAR MEETING MINUTES

July 18, 2005

DISCUSSION FOR DOWNTOWN REVITALIZATION:

Commissioners were given a draft of Development Strategy, Chapter 3 for review.

CALL REGULAR MEETING TO ORDER:

Planning and Zoning Chairman Bryan Baier called the regular meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission to order at 7:00 P.M.

DISCUSSION/ACTION REGULAR MEETING MINUTES OF JUNE 20, 2005:

A motion was made by Gary Spraggins and seconded by Pamela Clayton to approve the Planning and Zoning Meeting Minutes of June 20, 2005 as written.  Motion carried, all voting aye.

DISCUSSION/ACTION ZBA CASE NO. 050701:

A motion was made by Roy Pelton and seconded by Pamela Clayton to approve a request by Joe Clifton for a Special Use Permit for property at 1649 S. Broadway, being further described as Lot 2-10, Block 209-200 propsing to locate a satellite office at this location to advertise portable buildings as well as a sales office if warranted by Mr. Clifton at a later date.  Motion was amended by Roy Pelton stating that the Special Use Permit would be granted for a period of one year.  Motion carried, all voting aye.

DISCUSSION/ACTION FINAL PLAT PARK SPRINGS ESTATES:

A motion was made by Roy Pelton, and seconded by Bryan Baier to approve a request by Developer/Owner Joe and Louis Ardis and D. Pogue for property located West of Park Springs Rd. comprising of 62 residential lots for development of Phase I and Phase II.  Motion carried, all voting aye.

A motion was made by Roy Pelton and seconded by Craig Roberts to adjourn the meeting of July 18, 2005 at 7:15 P.M….Motion carried, all voting aye.
