CITY OF SULPHUR SPRINGS PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION REGULAR MEETING MINUTES June 20, 2005

Absent: Craig Roberts, Roy Pelton

Others: John Cooper WORKSHOP DISCUSSION FOR DOWNTOWN REVITALIZATION: Commissioners were given a draft of Basic Framework, Chapter 2 for review. Commission approved as written.
CALL REGULAR MEETING TO ORDER: Planning and Zoning Chairman Bryan Baier called the regular meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission to order at 7:00 P.M.
DISCUSSION/ACTION REGULAR MEETING MINUTES OF MAY 16, 2005: A motion was made by Gary Spraggins and seconded by Pamela Clayton to approve the Planning and Zoning Meeting Minutes of May 16, 2005 as written. Motion carried, all voting aye.
DISCUSSION/ACTION ZONING CASE NO. 050601: A motion was made by Gary Spraggins and seconded by Pamela Clayton to approve a request by Owner/David E. Black to rezone property located at 2019 S. Broadway, being further described as Lot 4-01, Block 600 from Single Family (SF-6) to Light Commercial Motion carried, all voting aye.
DISCUSSION/ACTION FINAL PLAT J&B BUSINESS COMPLEX: A motion was made by Brian Baier, and seconded by Gary Spraggins to approve a request by Owner/John Cooper to replat property located on the East side of Davis Street, West side of Gilmer and south of Spring Street, being further described as Lots 10A, 10B, 10C, & 11B, Block 7 into one single lot for future development. Motion carried, all voting aye.
ANY OTHER BUSINESS: Johnny informed the Commission that we would be reviewing Chapter 3 of the Downtown Revitalization Plan at the next workshop. He also advised them that we have identified a potential spot for a Visitor’s Center.
ADJOURN: A motion was made by Pamela Clayton and seconded by Gary Spraggins to adjourn the meeting of June 20, 2005 at 7:10 P.M….Motion carried, all voting aye. . |
