MEETING MINUTES

DECEMBER 20, 2005

CALL MEETING TO ORDER:

ZBA Chairman Clayton McGraw called the meeting of the Zoning Board of Adjustments and Appeals to order at 5:30 P.M..

DISCUSSION/ACTION ZBA MEETING MINUTES OF OCTOBER 18, 2005:

A motion was made by Joel Sheffield and seconded by Jonathan Cooper to approve the ZBA Meeting Minutes of October 18, 2005.  Motion carried, all voting aye.

DISCUSSION/ACTION ZBA CASE NO. V051201:

A motion was made by Joel Sheffield and seconded by Gary Stokes to approve a request by Owner/New Lineage Homes for a variance for the front and side setback and a further variance on the part of the house that is on the 20 ft. drainage easement, at 300 Austin Acre Rd., being further described as Lot 35, Block A, Green Acres Addition, Section #7.   Three citizens who lived within the area of the request were present and spoke regarding the drainage in the area. Travis stated he would talk with the City’s Engineering Dept. and ask them to take a look at the drainage in this area, and contact the state regarding cleaning out the creek that is blocking the drainage of the water in this area. Motion carried, all voting aye, with the exception of Jonathan Cooper who abstained from voting due to conflict of interest.

No other business, ZBA Chairman Clayton McGraw adjourned the meeting of 12/20/05 at 6:00 P.M.
