MEETING MINUTES

SEPTEMBER 19, 2006

CALL MEETING TO ORDER:

DRB Chairman G.V. Hughes called the regular meeting of the Downtown Revitalization Board to order at 6:30 P.M.

DISCUSSION/ACTION REGULAR MEETING MINUTES OF AUGUST 22, 2006:

A motion was made by Sara Gibson and seconded by Janet Hamner to approve the meeting minutes of August 22, 2006. Motion carried, all voting aye.

DISCUSSION/ACTION REVIEW OF CHAPTER 1:

The Board reviewed Chapter One and had no changes.  Chapter One will stand as written.  All members voting aye.

DISCUSSION/ACTION OF PROPOSED ORDINANCE FOR DESIGN GUIDELINES:

A motion was made by Janet Hamner and seconded by Sara Gibson to approve the ordinance presented by Staff establishing the criteria for the Historic District and sites and design guidelines.  The ordinance will stand as written and be sent on to the City Council for approval.  Motion carried all voting aye.

ANY OTHER BUSINESS:

The Board was asked to review Chapter Two.  Staff will present the Board with Chapter Three at the next scheduled meeting.

With no other business before the Board, Chairman G.V. Hughes adjourned the meeting at 7:13 P.M.
