CITY OF SULPHUR SPRINGS, TEXAS SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
MAY 16, 2006 5:30 p.m.
Mayor Clay Walker called the regular meeting of the Sulphur Springs City Council to order at 5:30 p.m. The following council members and staff were present:
Mayor Clay Walker Mayor Pro Tem Freddie Taylor Councilman Larry Powers Councilwoman Yolanda Williams Councilman Chris Brown
Absent: Councilman Garry Jordan
Staff: Marc Maxwell, City Manager Gale Roberts, City Secretary Jim McLeroy, City Attorney
Others present: Oscar Aguilar
PLEDGE AND INVOCATION Mayor Walker led in the pledge to the flag and Mayor Pro Tem Taylor led the invocation.
DISCUSSION/ACTION ON CANVASS OF ELECTION HELD MAY 13, 2006 Mayor Clay Walker was presented the keys to the election box by Police Chief Jim Bayuk. Mayor Walker read the election results and they were as follows:

Councilman Powers moved to approve the canvass of returns. Mayor Pro Tem Taylor seconded and the vote was unanimous.
Oscar Aguilar has been duly elected and will be sworn in at the June 6, 2006 regular City Council meeting.
