SPECIAL MEETING OF THE

CITY COUNCIL

AUGUST 9, 2005

Mayor Clay Walker called the special meeting of the Sulphur Springs City Council to order at 6:02 p.m.  The following council members and staff were present:

PLEDGE AND INVOCATION

Mayor Walker led in the pledge of allegiance and Mayor Pro Tem Freddie Taylor led the invocation. 

DISCUSSION ON PROPOSED FISCAL YEAR 2005-06 BUDGET

Finance Director Peter Karstens presented a summary of highlights from the proposed 2005-2006 City of Sulphur Springs budget, copies of which are included with this document.  The draft budget was given to the City Council for their review.  A meeting will be held Tuesday, August 16, 2005 at 6:00 p.m. with department heads present to answer questions.
